Writeup: Wanda Sykes is a gifted stand up comic who
is turning herself into a gifted television performer. She's
been doing her act for a long time now, but she didn't break
into television until 1997 when she appeared as part of the
ensemble of skit performers on the Chris Rock Show for HBO.
She now appears on two TV shows, Curb Your Enthusiasm and
Wanda At Large (this one will probably end up canceled). She
also provides voice work for the Comedy Central series Crank
Yankers and hosted the stand up show Premium Blend in 2002.
She has also appeared in a few feature films: Tomorrow Night
(1998), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000), Down To Earth
(2001) and Pootie Tang (2001). |
