| The
Writeup: Victoria Rowell is a multi talented dancer/actress
who has appeared on both the big screen and television with
amazing consistency. Born in Portland, Maine, Rowell was raised
in foster care for the first 18 years of her life and went
on to be a successful dancer. After 8 years of intensive training
she turned professional and toured with a number of companies,
including American Ballet Theater II and the Twyla Tharp Workshop.
She has also given modeling a shot, and was of course successful
in that field, gracing the pages of Seventeen and Mademoiselle.
Modeling made the natural progression to acting and she landed
the role of Nella Franklin (as a temporary replacement) on
As The World Turns and a long career in television was up
and running. In 1990 she landed the role of Drusilla Winters
on The Young And The Restless, a role that she still plays
today. During that time she was also holding down a job on
the Dick Van Dyke series Diagnosis Murder, a show that ran
from 1993-2001. Victoria was no doubt a very busy woman, but
she still found a little bit of time for feature films, including
The Distinguished Gentleman (1992), Dumb & Dumber (1994 -
playing the beautiful black FBI agent that gives Harry a gun),
Barb Wire (1996 - what is she doing in this piece of Pamela
Anderson junk?), Eve's Bayou (1997 - fabulous), A Wake In
Providence (1999) and Fraternity Boys (1999). |
