Writeup: Born in England in 1950, Veronica Cartwright
has led a long and fruitful career as a character actress.
She began her career as a child actress and had parts in In
Love And War, The Children's Hour, Hitchcock's The Birds,
and had recurring roles on TV shows like Leave It To Beaver
and Daniel Boone. As she moved into adulthood, her career
essentially dried up and she abandoned Hollywood for ten years.
She returned in 1975 as a full fledged adult, and a terrific
actress. She put together a series of excellent roles in films
like Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, Alien, and The Right
Stuff. Her career as an excellent supporting actress established,
Veronica has worked non stop since her return, appearing frequently
