Writeup: In 1989 Tuesday Knight left a recording contract
with CBS records to pursue a career in movies and television,
something she has done with marked success. It began in 1988
with the lead role in the feature film A Nightmare On Elm
Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), on which she also sang
the theme song. Presumably this led her to leave her recording
contract and concentrate on acting full time. She has led
a career filled with character parts, some large, some small,
but she has managed to work with a slew of talented people
throughout the years. After Nightmare, it was four years before
she appeared in a feature film. The film was Hollywood Mistress
(1992), a low budget film produced by Robert DeNiro in which
she had a supporting role. Subsequent films include Who Killed
the Baby Jesus (1992), The Prom (1992, playing Porn Girl in
Waiting Room), Calendar Girl (1993, playing Nude Woman), New
Nightmare (1994), The Babysitter (1995), The Fan (1996), Telling
Lies in America (1997), Brother (2000), and Daddy and Them
(2001). Truth be told, judging by her film career she might
have been more successful as a singer. She has generally played
small parts like Waitress, Receptionist, Nurse and such in
her films, but as long as she's happy, I shouldn't judge. |
