| The
Writeup: A very pretty actress from New York, Trini
Alvarado has an international heritage, with her father being
from Spain and her mother from Puerto Rico. This background
has provided her with unique good looks, although the seemingly
talented actress has failed to capitalize on early buzz surround
her career. She made her feature film debut in Rich Kids (1979),
a low budget drama that starred John Lithgow. Trini had one
of the lead roles in the film and generated a bit of buzz.
In the next few years she starred in the feature films Times
Square (1980) and Mrs. Soffel (1984), along with the TV movies
Starstruck (1981), Private Contentment (1982), and Dreams
Don't Die (1982). After a three year absence from any on screen
work she found herself working furiously in the late 80s and
early 90s. She appeared in the feature films Sweet Lorraine
(1987), Satisfaction (1988), The Chair (1989), American Blue
Note (1989), Stella (1990), American Friends (1991), The Babe
(1992), and the prestige production Little Women (1994). Sadly,
none of these films, despite her starring status in a number
of them, catapulted her to stardom like many thought she was
destined to reach. She has since appeared less frequently
in feature films, with her last work being Paulie (1998).
She works more in TV movies lately, but most are not notable
productions. |
