Writeup: Tina Yothers was a showbiz kid, doing her
first commercial at the age of 3. Born in 1973, she made her
feature film debut in Shoot the Moon (1982) and was cast in
Family Ties, the soon to be hit show, that same year. In the
fall of 1982 Family Ties went out over the airwaves and was
a smash. Michael J. Fox was the breakout star, but all the
kids enjoyed a juicy taste of fame. The show ran until 1989,
and by that time Tina had fully grown up in front of all America,
a tough thing to do. However, she managed to stay fairly well
grounded and balanced, unlike many of her child acting brethren.
Like many of her child acting brethren, she mad a great deal
of trouble maintaining an adult career. Her most significant
role was as the host of The Tina Yothers show, a program which
featured a live studio audience and Tina discussing important
issues affecting today's youths. It was quickly canceled due
to low ratings. Now out of acting, she is the lead singer
of a band called Jaded. In 2002 she was married to Robert
Kaiser. |
