| The
Writeup: Theresa, a long time actress and experienced
stage performer, made her debut in the 1987 film Maid To Order.
In the following years she appeared in small roles in films
like Near Dark, Easy Wheels, Heart Condition and The Guardian.
In 1991 she was cast in Jungle Fever, a small role to be sure,
but a much higher profile film. Spike Lee cast her again in
Malcolm X, this time in a meatier role, and her career was
on the rise. She appeared opposite Eddy Murphy and Martin
Lawrence in successive roles, and it appeared that she was
on the brink of becoming a genuine star. The very next year
Spike Lee cast her as the lead in Girl 6, a very impressive
role. Unfortunately, the film was not successful and after
her role in Spawn in 1997 Theresa stopped working almost entirely
(she appeared in the Bad Boys sequel in 2003). |
