Writeup: A shapely actress with supermodel like looks,
Thandie is the daughter of a Zimbabwean mother and English
father. She lived in Zambia until her family was forced to
move back to England because of political unrest. She appeared
in the 1991 film Flirting as her major feature debut, and
landed a role in the 1994 hit Interview With The Vampire.
What followed were a number of character and supporting roles
in high profile movies. It wasn't until the 1998 film Beloved
that Thandie garnered real mainstream attention, even though
the movie itself was an expensive failure. That film resulted
in her role in Mission: Impossible II, a huge success, and
she was even offered a part in the first Charlie's Angels
film, a role she had to turn down to take M:I-2. The future
looks bright, with Thandie starring opposite Vin Diesel in
the sequel to 2000's Pitch Black, The Chronicles Of Riddick.
