Writeup: Born and raised in Miami, Florida (birth
date August 10, 1975), Tessie Santiago attended the University
Of Miami and earned a Bachelor Of Arts in film production
and theatre. She's obviously interested in the performing
arts and appeared in countless student films while in college,
brushing up on her acting skills and preparing for what would
be an eventual move to Hollywood. 2000 brought her first major
role, starring in the title role in the TV show Queen of Swords
(2000), which I'm fairly certain was a syndicated series in
the vein of Xena. Tessie starred as Maria Alvarado, or the
Queen Of Swords, basically a female Zorro. The show was intriguing
and garnered an impressive cult fanbase, but it was canceled
after it's first season. Tessie's next role was in the VH1
TV movie The Way She Moves (2001), a love story set in the
world of salsa dancing. Tessie's biggest role to date is most
likely her casting as Lucia Rojas-Klein on NBC's Good Morning,
Miami (2002), a role she only played for the first season. |
