Writeup: A native of Vancouver, British Columbia,
Teryl has been making movies since the early 90s, but began
her career providing voice overs for cartoons like Dragonball
(1986), Ranma ½ (1989), King Arthur and the Knights of Justice
(1992) and Exosquad (1993). She made her acting debut in the
TV movie Mortal Sins (1992), an Emmy nominated murder mystery
starring Christopher Reeve. She has since appeared in more
than 30 made for TV flicks, plus 10 feature films and multiple
TV shows. Her notable feature films include Magic in the Water
(1995), Masterminds (1997) opposite Patrick Stewart, and Mr.
Rice's Secret (2000), which starred David Bowie. Other TV
movies include Echo (1997), which appeared on ABC and starred
Alexandra Paul, Dead Man's Gun (1997), a Hallmark Hall Of
Fame movie about a deceased man's revolver that makes it's
way into multiple people's lives, haunting them. She also
starred in the romantic comedy Two of Hearts (1999), for the
Fox Family Channel. However, her greatest success has come
on the TV show Stargate SG-1, a spinoff of the popular Kurt
Russell movie Stargate. The show has been on the air since
1997, and in it, Teryl plays Janet Frasier, MD. |
