| The
Writeup: Suzanne Pleshette broke into films with a
supporting role in 1958's The Geisha Boy and was signed to
a contract by Warner Bros. shortly thereafter. Her notable
films of that era include Rome Adventure (1962), 40 Pounds
Of Trouble (1963), The Birds (1963 - her breakout role), Wall
Of Noise (1963), Fate Is The Hunter (1964), A Rage To Live
(1965), The Ugly Daschund (1966), Blackbeard's Ghost (1968),
and If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969). As her feature
film career wore on it was clear that she was a gifted comic
actress, and the whole world found this out when she was cast
as Bob Newhart's wife on The Bob Newhart Show (1972-1978).
She hasn't really appeared in feature films since then, but
she does have a number of TV shows and made for TV movies
on her resume. Her other shows include Suzanne Pleshette Is
Maggie Briggs (1984), Bridges To Cross (1986), Nightingales
(1988), The Boys Are Back (1994), and Good Morning, Miami
