Writeup: Sondra Locke had one hell of a debut, appearing
The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968) and winning an Academy
Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. Quite
an uncommon occurrence, Sondra has appeared in a number of
quality feature films since then, doing some of her best work
opposite longtime boyfriend (they dated from 1975-1990) Clint
Eastwood. After her Oscar win she starred in Cover Me Babe
(1970), Willard (1971) and A Reflection of Fear (1973). Her
Eastwood films are The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), The Gauntlet
(1977), Every Which Way but Loose (1978), Any Which Way You
Can (1980), Bronco Billy (1980), and Sudden Impact (1983).
After the latter film she tried her hand at directing, and
the films Ratboy (1986), Impulse (1990) and Do Me a Favor
(1997) were the result. None was a huge hit, but they were
somewhat well liked. She has recently done more acting, appearing
in The Prophet's Game (1999), Clean and Narrow (1999) and
Loving Annabelle (2004). One more note: In her heyday, Sondra
was a big time blonde babe, so you'd be smart to find some
pics. |
