Writeup: One of six children of Irish actor Cyril
Cusack, Sinead, like her siblings Sorcha, Niamh, and Catherine
went into acting, making her feature film debut in Alfred
the Great (1969). Over the years, her output has been up and
down, ranging from quality feature films to TV movies. She
has even appeared in the occasional TV series. Her notable
feature films include The Last Remake of Beau Geste (1977),
Rocket Gibraltar (1988), The Cement Garden (1993), Stealing
Beauty (1996) with Liv Tyler, Passion of Mind (2000) with
Demi Moore and I Capture the Castle (2003). She has also done
high minded TV movies like David Copperfield (1969) for NBC,
Twelfth Night (1980) for the BBC, and Cyrano de Bergerac (1985)
for Britain's Channel 4. She also starred in the TV show Scoop
(1972) and Quiller (1975), but neither was long lived. In
March of 1978 she was married to the terrific British actor
Jeremy Irons and the pair have two children together. |
