Writeup: Sharon Tate was a young woman of 21 when
she made her first appearance on film, in Hemingway's Adventures
Of A Young Man. She subsequently was cast in the role of Janet
Trego on The Beverly Hillbillies, a part she played for two
years. A few other feature film roles followed, but it was
1967's Valley Of The Dolls that made her a star in the making.
She was even nominated for a Golden Globe in the category
of Most Promising Female Newcomer, a category that doesn't
even exist anymore as far as I know. But it's not for her
career that Sharon will forever be remembered. On August 9,
1969, a pregnant Sharon and four other people were murdered
by followers of Charles Manson, forever etching Sharon upon
the minds of America. |
