Writeup: Sandra Bernhard is quite famous, and quite
talented, but she's no looker. Despite that, she has been
able to put together a very impressive career for herself,
appearing in feature films, television shows, and managing
a thriving stand up comedy career. She made her feature film
debut in Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams, a forgettable film,
but really wowed audiences as an obsessive fan in Martin Scorcese's
The King Of Comedy. From 1991 to 1997 she had a recurring
role as an openly gay woman, Nancy Thomas on Roseanne, ABC's
hit sitcom. Some might say it's a miracle she's managed a
career at all, I personally think she's a dreadful stand up
comedian and a faily unattractive person, but she remains
a working actress. Her most memorable feature films are The
House Of God, Hudson Hawk, Dallas Doll, Museum Of Love, and
Wrongfully Accused. |
