| The
Writeup: Born in Hong Kong, this British actress has
an incredibly long list of TV series credits as well as a
growing list of feature films. It all began in 1995 when she
appeared on the short lived TV series Fist Of Fun, playing
various characters (I'm assuming it was some sort of sketch
comedy show). She has since consistently appeared on one television
show or another. These shows include Six Pairs of Pants (1995),
Holding the Baby (1997), I'm Alan Partridge (1997), Comedy
Nation (1998), Smack the Pony (1999), Hippies (1999) and Rescue
Me (2002). A number of those shows are sketch comedy type
shows, and Smack The Pony achieved a level of fame. Among
her feature film credits are Notting Hill (1999, featured
in scenes deleted on the DVD), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001j,
playing Shazzer, one of Bridget's friends), Birthday Girl
(2001), Mean Machine (2001), Blowing It (2002), Gladiatress
(2003), and Tooth (2004). A distinctly British actress, she
has done little work in American films, but her face is known
here thanks to BBC America and Bridget Jones, which was a
fabulous film. |
