Writeup: A short, fiery, talented actress, Rhea Perlman
made her feature film debut in 1972 in the film Hot Dogs For
Gauguin. She subsequently appeared in six made for TV flicks
on the 70s, along with the film Swap Meet (1979) before landing
the role of Carla on Cheers, a show for the ages that would
eventually run for eleven years and make household names out
of all it's stars. In the years the show was on the air Rhea
used her hiatus to appear in made for TV films and the occasional
feature film. Since the show's gone off the air she has worked
in both feature films (Canadian Bacon, Sunset Park, Carpool,
and Matilda) and TV. She has been on two canceled shows, Pearl,
a starring vehicle for her, and Kate Brasher, where she played
a supporting role. |
