| The
Writeup: Rebecca was a young star on the rise when
her life was cut short by a deranged fan who shot her. She
began her career in 1985 on the long running soap One Life
To Live, playing Annie Barnes for a short story arc. The next
year she was cast on the series My Sister Sam, which ran until
1988, and which remains her most well known role. She also
appeared in the feature films Radio Days (1987), Scenes from
the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills (1989) and The End of
Innocence (1990). It seemed like her career was just getting
started, sadly it ended in tragedy. Her killer was a man by
the name of Robert John Bardo, an obssessed fan with mental
disorders. Her disguised himself as a flower delivery man
and gained access to her home, then apparently he had a bit
of an episode and shot her dead. At the time, she was dating
Brad Silberling, who would later make a movie, Moonlight Mile,
based on this incident. |
