Writeup: Polly is a lovely English actress who began
her career as a dancer but was forced to make a direction
change after an injury at the age of 18. She chose acting,
and in 1990 bagged roles in four made for TV movies: Peril
at End House, Lorna Doone, The Kremlin, Farewell, and A Dangerous
Man: Lawrence After Arabia. From there it was off and running
into feature films. She first gained real attention as an
English terrorist in 1992's Patriot Games, and a number of
quality roles have followed. Her notable films include The
Trial (1993), Sliver (1993), Emma (1996), Robinson Crusoe
(1997), The Gambler (1997), Talk of Angels (1998), Dark Harbor
(1998), Eight and a Half Women (1999), and D-Tox (2002). She
also appeared in the 2003 mini series State Of Play for the
BBC. |
