Writeup: Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Paula has put together
a stunningly impressive resume since 1995, although she got
her start many years earlier. Paula made her acting debut
in 1995, in the feature film Friday, which would go on to
be a sleeper hit. That same year she starred in the WB series
The Wayans Brothers, playing Monique for a year. However,
before all of that, Paula was a stand up comedian for a number
of years, struggling to get that break in Hollywood. She appeared
on a number of stand up shows, including Uptown Comedy Club,
The Apollo Comedy Hour and Townsend Television. However, since
1995 she has built an impressive resume with both feature
films and TV shows galore. Her notable feature films include
Tales from the Hood (1995), Sprung (1997), Why Do Fools Fall
In Love (1998), 30 Years to Life (2001), High Crimes (2002)
and Phone Booth (2002). She has also been a series regular
on the shows The Weird Al Show (1997) and Snoops (1999). |
