Writeup: Although Patricia Clarkson has been working
in Hollywood since 1987, it wasn't until the last five years
(1998-2003) that she was able to get her hands on the kind
of material that would show us all what a fantastic talent
she is. We've seen her give powerful performances in films
like The Green Mile, The Pledge, Playing By Heart, and most
recently, Far From Heaven and The Station Agent. She probably
deserved an Oscar nomination for Far From Heaven, but some
people get pushed aside for the big time actresses. Patricia
will probably never be a big time actress, but she's well
respected enough now that she can get her hands on some of
the most impressive material available. The 2003 film Dogville
should be another fantastic example of Patricia's unique talent,
so look for it in the fall. |
