| The
Writeup: A blonde babe of the 60s, Pat Priest first
appeared as a student in the film East of Eden (1955), but
it wasn't until nine years later that she began her acting
career in earnest, racking up several guest starring appearances
on TV in 1964, including The Jack Benny Program, Perry Mason,
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea and My Favorite Martian. That
same year the popular show The Munsters debuted, with Beverley
Owen playing Marilyn Munster. 14 episodes in, Beverley decided
she wanted to get married and she left the show. In stepped
Pat, who played the role of Marilyn, the pretty member of
the family (although the rest of the Munsters thought her
to be horribly disfigured), for the next 56 episodes. The
show ran until 1966 (back then they filmed more new episodes
a year, the show actually recorded 70 episodes in two years)
and Pat subsequently appeared in the Elvis movie Easy Come,
Easy Go (1967), her second claim to fame after the Munsters.
She played bad girl Dina Bishop, and it remains her most notable
film role considering there were only two others worth noting:
The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant (1971) and Sleeping Beauty
(1973). She occasionally guest stars on TV shows and made
a cameo appearance in the TV movie Here Come the Munsters
(1995), but she has been essentially retired since the mid
70s. |
