Writeup: One of the biggest stars of 70's era blaxploitation
films, Pam Grier has serious career troubles when the genre
went out of style, relegated to low budget and straight to
video titles. In 1997, Quentin Tarantino cast her in Jackie
Brown and she experienced a brief career renaissance, suddenly
in demand again because she was hip & cool. Since then
she's been able to work more in studio films, but it seems
there's no project she won't say no to, and it's back to straight
to video stuff along with low quality studio films like Ghosts
Of Mars & Bones. A career is a career though, so kudos
to Pam for making it work. |
