Writeup: You know her as Mindy from the popular ABC
TV series Mork & Mindy, where she starred opposite Robin
Williams for 4 years. Pam Dawber grew up in a suburb of Detroit
and was signed as a model when she was in her late teens.
It turned out she was more interested in acting that modeling,
so Pam took to acting, and in 1978 was given a role in the
Robert Altman film A Wedding. She was considered a talent
and signed an exclusive contract with ABC that year. This
led to her casting on Mork & Mindy. Since the show went
off the air in 1982 Pam has stuck mostly to TV movies, appearing
in the occasional feature film. She has also been a part of
two more TV shows, My Sister Sam (1986) and Life...And Stuff
(1997). Neither series was a big hit. |
