Writeup: A remarkably beautiful, and successful, black
actress, Nia has worked consistently since the early 90's
and looks to continue her run of success in the future. First
seen as a sixteen year old in 1986's The B.R.A.T. Patrol,
Nia found her big break with a three year run on the soap
opera Guiding Light, and jumped from there to network tv with
a one year stint on The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. She spent
spent the next five years acting in films like Soul Food,
Love Jones, Butter, & The Best Man. It wasn't until 2000's
smash hit Big Momma's House that a mainstream audience got
a look at her. Hopefully she can maintain a high profile career,
but again, black actresses tend to have difficulty getting
the best parts in Hollywood. |
