Nathalie made her debut in Day for Night (1973). Previously
she had studied at the Paris Conservatoire, developing a keen
talent for acting. A beloved actress in her native country,
she has been nominated for seven César Awards, France's most
prestigious film award. The nominations are for the films
Une semaine de vacances (1980), Every Man for Himself (1980
- a winner for Best Supporting Actress), Strange Affair (1981
- a winner for Best Supporting Actress), The Nark (1982 -
a winner for Best Actress), J'ai épousé une ombre (1983),
Un week-end sur deux (1990) and Vénus beauté (institut) (1999).
She was also nominated for a European Film Award and won the
Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for
