Writeup: One of the original supermodels, Naomi Campbell
became world famous as a model in the late 80s and has maintained
a sky high profile ever since then. She was the first black
female model to appear on the cover of French Vogue, British
Vogue and Time Magazine, among other publications. During
the heyday of theme restaurants, she was one of a coalition
of models that opened the Fashion Cafe in New York, and although
it was a failure, it's quite an accomplishment nonetheless.
Naomi hasn't burned up the screen when it comes to acting,
but I'm fairly certain she's never tried. She has had a number
of roles in feature films, most notable among them Cool As
Ice (1991), Miami Rhapsody (1995), Girl 6 (1995), Invasion
Of Privacy (1996), Trippin (1999), Prisoner Of Love (1999)
and Fat Slags (due in 2004). She has also appeared as herself
in countless documentaries and TV specials. |
