| The
Writeup: A native of New York City, N'Bushe is a lovely
actress with a slightly odd name, and to be honest I haven't
a clue how to pronounce it. Apart from that, she has managed
a fine career for herself, primarily in feature films, but
with a decent amount of work in TV as well. Her first big
role, and feature film debut, came in Zebrahead (1992), a
low budget look at racial relations starring Michael Rappaport
and Kevin Corrigan. That same year she had a five episode
guest stop on the series I'll Fly Away and delivered an impressive
performance as Claudia Bishop. Other feature films on her
resume include Fresh (1994), Dead Presidents (1995), Johns
(1996), A Woman Like That (1997), His and Hers (1997), Blade
(1998, a surprisingly popular comic book adaptation starring
Wesley Snipes), 3 Strikes (2000, a not surprisingly unsuccessful,
and unfunny film), Civil Brand (2002) and MVP (2003). She
has developed into a well rounded actress, capable of delivering
a good supporting performance or carrying a movie. In 2002
she starred in the well done mini series Widows (2002), about
four widows finishing the heist job their husbands were killed
doing. |
