Writeup: The biggest teen star of the 1980's, Molly
joined forces with John Hughes to make some of the most memorable
movies to come out of that decade. Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast
Club & Pretty In Pink are films cherished by a generation.
They also managed to establish a number of flim cliches that
you'll find in the teen focused films that are made today.
Unfortunately, Molly had trouble transfering to an adult career
and has been left in the dust since the 80's ended. She's
worked, quite a bit in fact, but I'd be surprised if you could
name a film she's starred in in the last five years. Let's
face it, Molly was never that good looking, she was just loaded
with charisma as a young actor. It didn't carry over for her
into adulthood and she was left with nothing to build a career
on once she was out of her teens. |
