Writeup: Mili Avital was born in Israel and started
her career in the Israeli film industry. In fact, she was
more than your average Israeli actress. She starred in some
of the country's most impressive films, but decided that she
wouldn't be able to achieve the kind of success she was looking
for unless she was in America working on a career in Hollywood.
Luckily for her, it didn't take long. As the story goes, she
was discovered by a talent agent in a restaurant she was working
in and was cast in Stargate (1994). The movie was a modest
hit and Mili was a hot property. She had a bit of an accent
so more big time parts weren't easy to come by, but she has
managed to craft an impressive career. Notable roles include
Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man (1995), Animals (1997), Polish Wedding
(1998), Kissing A Fool (1998), Uprising (TV 2001), and The
Human Stain (2003). |
