Writeup: Megan Follows is a prolific actress from
Canada who achieved her greatest fame as a teenager and continues
to work steadily today. She began her career as a ten year
old in the feature film Clare's Wish (1978) and appeared on
the TV shows Matt And Jenny, The Baxters, Going Great (as
a host) and Domestic life in by 1984. All the shows were short
lived, a year or less, but Megan was a hot commodity. However,
it wasn't until 1985, when she starred in the made for TV
movie Anne Of Green Gables, as Anne, that she shot to stardom
(mostly in Canada). She won a Gemini award (basically a Canadian
Emmy), and became a big star. She starred in a number of TV
movies following the success of Anne and was in the sequel
two years later, another big hit. Since then Megan has mostly
appeared in made for TV movies, TV shows, and small time feature
films. In addition, she performs regularly on stage and is
a wonderful performer. |
