the cast of the NBC show Newsradio the day before they shot
the pilot, and a career was born. She was easily the highlight
of the show, and one of the best looking women on television.
She used the exposure the show gave her to land roles in Liar,
Liar opposite Jim Carrey and a small role in Forces Of Nature
opposite Ben Affleck. In an effort to boost the sex appeal
and romantic factor of their show, the producers of ER added
Maura to the cast in 2000 and she's been the show's strongest
