| The
Writeup: Mathilda May is a lovely French actress who
was pigeonholed into nudity roles early in her career, she
did extensive nude scenes in her second film, Lifeforce (1985),
and has had little success in the US since. Lifeforce was
a silly farce involving space vampires and the like, and it
performed poorly at the box office. Mathilda gained some popularity
in certain circles due to her scenes, but an actual career
in Hollywood never materialized. It's certainly possible that
she chose to only make films in Europe, but I don't know.
Other notable films include Letters to an Unknown Lover (1986),
La Passerelle (1988), Naked Tango (1991, which also starred
Vincent D'Onofrio), Becoming Colette (1991), Isabelle Eberhardt
(1992), Grosse fatigue (1994), La Teta y la luna (1995), Celluloide
(1996), and the Bruce Willis starrer The Jackal (1997), in
which she had a small part. |
