Writeup: Mary McDonnell is an excellent actress who
has, in her later years, perfected the role of the concerned
mother, emoting caring and compassion with ease. It was in
the early 90's that Mary hit the peak of her stardom, twice
earning Oscar nominations for Dances With Wolves (1990) and
Passion Fish (1992). She spent twenty years working on stage
in New York, creating a dedicated fan base and consistently
giving wonderful performances. Her breakout role was in Dances
With Wolves, and she quickly landed a number of quality parts.
These included Sneakers, Blue Chips and Independence Day.
Lately she has been splitting her time between independent
films and TV movies. She also makes the occasional guest starring
appearance on ER as Eleanor Carter, John's mother. |
