| The
Writeup: The lovely Mary Beth McDonough began her
career as a child actress, landing a role on The Waltons (1972)
at the tender age of 11. The show, about a 1930's mountain
family, ran until 1981, meaning that Mary essentially group
up in front of a television audience, something that many
child stars do not handle well. However, I do believe that
Mary handled herself very well and she has maintained something
of a career throughout her life, although nothing quite as
successful as her original role. Her feature film debut came
in Lovely But Deadly (1981), and she has subsequently appeared
in the films Mortuary (1983), Snowballing (1984), Waiting
to Act (1985), Impure Thoughts (1985), Funland (1986), Mom
(1990), Heaven Sent (1994), and One of Those Nights (1997).
Outside of these films she has also appeared in a number of
Walton TV movies, including A Wedding on Walton's Mountain
(1982), A Walton Wedding (1995) and A Walton Wedding (1995).
In 2000 Mary tried her hand at the other side of the camera,
writing and directing For The Love Of May, about four women
exploring relationships. |
