| The
Writeup: A former Miss Florida and 3rd runner up in
the Miss USA pageant, Mary moved out to Hollywood and promptly
began advertising herself by posting her photo, name and phone
number on a billboard visible from the 20th Century Fox lot.
This billboard was seen by Mel Brooks, who called her and
asked her to read for his film History Of The World: Part
I. She landed the role of Miriam and a career in movies and
TV was off and running. Her next role came in the 1984 made
for TV pic Velvet, and she subsisted on TV guest starring
appearances until landing a starring role in a series of her
own, Eerie, Indiana in 1991. She has since appeared in 7 made
for TV movies, the feature film Blonde Justice (1996) and,
in her most notable role, starred as Gail Leery on the teen
drama Dawson's Creek. |
