Writeup: Sometimes I check out someone's resume and
I'm shocked at how long they've been working in Hollywood.
Mariska Hargitay is just such a person. Turns out she's been
a working actress since 1985's Ghoulies, followed up by the
series "Downtown" the next year. Truth be told,
I hadn't ever heard of Mariska because she was mired in movies
like Jocks (1987), Mr. Universe (1988) and The Perfect Weapon
(1991). She's also been stuck in crappy television shows like
"Tequila and Bonetti," "Can't Hurry Love,"
and "Prince Street." Her stardom has come from her
role as Detective Olivia Benson on the hit NBC spinoff series
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She's a good looking
woman with a talent and it's good to see her having some success. |
