| The
Writeup: Born in New York City, Marisa Ryan attended
NYC's High School For The Performing Arts and made her adult
feature film debut in A Delicatessen Story (1996 - she had
previously appeared in 1983's Without A Trace). Since then
she has appeared in 12 feature films (as of 2003), plus starred
on three TV shows. Almost all of her feature films have been
independent pictures, but this allows her to get bigger parts
and really show off her acting chops. Her most notable films
are Love Always (1997), Taylor's Return (1997), Man of the
Century (1999), Cold Hearts (1999), Wet Hot American Summer
(2001) and Riding in Cars with Boys (2001). She has also starred
on the TV shows Major Dad (1989-93), New York Undercover (1998
- it's final year on the air) and Falcone (2000). You may
have also seen her in the silly The Pennsylvania Miners' Story
(2002), a made for TV movie which gladly exploited the miners
and their plight (I despise the way network TV does this). |
