| The
Writeup: Marilyn Burns only appeared in four feature
films in her career, but she has cemented a lasting legacy
despite the brevity of her career. Born in Cleveland, Ohio
in 1956, Marilyn made her feature film debut in The Texas
Chain Saw Massacre (1974), playing Sally Hardesty. She further
cemented her role as a scream queen by appearing in the slasher
flicks Eaten Alive (1977), Caution, Children at Play (1981),
and Future-Kill (1985). She also appeared in the TV movie
Helter Skelter (1976), playing a member of the Manson family.
After 1985 she has not appeared in any more projects, aside
from a brief cameo role in The Return of the Texas Chainsaw
Massacre (1994), playing a patient on a gurney. She currently
lives in Texas and directs local theater. |
