Writeup: Marilu Henner made her debut in the feature
film Between the Lines (1977) but shot to fame as Elaine on
the hugely popular TV series Taxi. Show ran from 1978-1983
and was a ratings powerhouse in those years. It helped make
stars out of Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, and Andy Kaufman, not
to mention Marilu. In the years since the show's cancellation
Marilu has balanced feature films and TV work, seemingly appearing
in equal portions of both. She also appeared on the TV series
Evening Shade which ran from 1990-94. Her notable feature
films include Cannonball Run II (1984), Johnny Dangerously
(1984), Rustlers' Rhapsody (1985), Grand Larceny (1987), L.A.
Story (1991), Chasers (1994), Man on the Moon (1999) and Enemies
of Laughter (2000). |
