Writeup: Born in Madrid, Spain in 1970, Maribel made
her feature film debut at the age of 16 in El Orden cómico
(1986) and had been performing in commercials for many years
prior to the role. So she's been an actress for most of her
life and has thus far (as of 2003) racked up more than 35
feature film credits. All of her films, at least as far as
I can tell, have been Spanish language movies, and the truth
is she probably wouldn't be a popular figure in the US if
it weren't for her portrayal of a sexually free older woman
in the 2001 import hit "Y tu mamá también." In it
she goes on a road trip with two young men and along the way
they explore their sexuality. Maribel has subsequently gained
