Writeup: A fabulous character actress on the big screen
and a Tony award nominated performer on the stage, Marcia
is without a doubt a multi talented beauty. She made her film
debut in 1986's The Imagemaker, but didn't really garner any
attention until 1990 when she starred in Miller's Crossing.
It was this year that she made it onto many people's hot new
actress lists, proclaiming herself as a new talent. Although
you could easily argue that she has failed to meet this potential
when it comes to pure fame, Marcia is a supremely talented
actress, and an Oscar winner. She was a long shot to win for
her performance as Lee Krasner in 2000's Pollock, but she
picked up the trophy despite the odds. We haven't seen her
cash in like many winners do, but instead she's stuck to her
style of picking quality projects over big paychecks. |
