has worked in European cinema for her entire career. So unless
you're a fan of subtitled films, you won't have seen anything
Maia has done before. You may end up seeing her soon though.
She was cast as Mary, Jesus' mother, in Mel Gibson's film
Passion, about the death of Jesus Christ. Shot in Aramaic
& Latin, the film is bound to be controversial, and bound
to raise the profile of anyone involved. The movie is due
in 2004, so if you're a fan of Maia, keep your eyes peeled. |
