| The
Writeup: A wildly talented actress who saw her best
years in mid 70's, Madeline carved out a long, fruitful and
distinguished career as an actress. Her one two punch of Paper
Moon (1973) and Blazing Saddles (1974) earned her two Oscar
nominations and brought her to the peak of her fame. Well
known for her collaborations with Mel Brooks, which include
Young Frankenstein and History Of The World Part I (along
with Blazing Saddles), Madeline had a unique comic gift and
was a talented singer as well (witness Young Frankenstein).
She worked for thirty years before passing away in 1999, a
rare feat in Hollywood to have such a long career. |
