Writeup: The third member of the Roberts acting family,
Lisa is the sister of both Eric and Julia Roberts, both of
whom are successful actors. Lisa is probably the least successful
of the group, but has still left her mark with impressive
performances in a few films. A frequent performer on stage
and screen, her first feature film role came in Joey (1986),
a fairly generic 80s flick in which she had a bit part. She
next had a small role in the TV movie To Heal a Nation (1988).
Six years later she appeared with her sister in I Love Trouble
(1994), and would subsequently appear in Something to Talk
About (1995, again with Julia), The Journey of August King
(1995), Nothing to Lose (1998, a small indie which starred
2003 Best Actor winner Adrien Brody), The Call Back (1998),
Runaway Bride (1999, playing Elaine from Manhattan, again
in a movie with her sister), and Maid in Manhattan (2002,
playing Cora). Other work includes a guest spot on Friends
and a guest spot on Law & Order: SVU in 2001. |
