Writeup: First appearing on film in 1970's The Way
We Live Now, Linda had a small collection of credits before
winning the role Of Regan MacNeil in the classic horror film
The Exorcist (1973). She earned an Oscar nomination for her
portrayal of a possessed teen, and reprised the role again
in 1977 for the sequel. Sadly, she has never escaped from
under the shadow of that role, and has starred in a long string
of forgettable films ever since her star making turn. Mostly
sticking to schlocky horror films, Linda is nonetheless a
star, able to turn one role into a lifetime of parts for herself. |
