Writeup: A fantastic character actress, Lin Shaye
made her feature film debut as a whore in the 1975 film Hester
Street. In the past three decades she has built a huge resume
filled with a vast array of supporting roles. She worked sparingly
in the beginning of her career, appearing in only one other
film in the 70s and only a few films in the early 80s. However,
by the mid to late 80s she had shown the world her skills
and the frequency of her acting gigs went way up. In her career
(as of 2003), she has appeared in more than 50 feature films,
plus 13 made for TV pics. If you don't know who Lin is, you
no doubt remember her as Magda, the overly tanned and wrinkly
old lady from There's Something About Mary. We even got a
glimpse of some fake breasts the director's had outfitted
her with. Some of her other notable films include The Running
Man (1987), Pump Up the Volume (1990) , Loaded Weapon 1 (1993),
Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (1993), Corrina, Corrina (1994),
