Writeup: Lesley began her career in 1965 telepic Cinderella,
then spent the next fifteen years working almost exclusively
in made for TV movies and television shows. After all that
time slogging away on TV, she was given a meaty role in a
feature film, playing Norma Cassidy in the 1982 film Victor/Victoria,
a role for which she earned an Oscar nomination. She never
really reached that height again creatively, although she
received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in 1984's
Songwriter. Since the mid 80s, Lesley has spent time in both
telepics and feature films, delivering mostly solid supporting
roles. |
