| The
Writeup: An attractive blonde, Leilani Sarelle made
her feature film debut in Neon Maniacs (1986), a horror film
set in San Fransisco. She next appeared in Shag (1989), a
movie set in the summer of 63 that starred Phoebe Cates, Bridget
Fonda and Annabeth Gish as three friends on a road trip. Leilani
had a small supporting role as Suette. She played a female
highway patrol officer in Days of Thunder (1990) and appeared
in Checkered Flag (1990) that same year. 1992 brought her
most memorable role, that of Roxy, Sharon Stone's lesbian
lover, in the Paul Verhoven directed mega hit Basic Instinct.
After her hit role she appeared in the feature films Little
Sister (1992), The Harvest (1993) and Crash (1996). She has
not been heard from since. She also appeared in the TV movies
Till Death Us Do Part (1992, a true crime movie based on the
book by Vincent Bugliosi). The next year she appeared in Barbarians
at the Gate (1993), which starred James Garner and was based
on the story of the RJR Nabisco take over, yet told it in
a slightly tongue in cheek way. Her last TV movie was Sketch
Artist II: Hands That See (1995). Her child was born in 1995,
so it's entirely possible she gave up acting in order to raise
him, but I can't be certain. Until 2003 she was married to
Miguel Ferrer, but they are divoriced now. |
