Writeup: Lauren Ambrose, a relative newcomer to Hollywood,
landed her first major film role in the Kevin Kline comedy
In & Out. In 1998 she had one of the lead roles in the
teen comedy Can't Hardly Wait, a well reviewed film which
performed poorly at the box office. She landed a lead role
in the series Saving Graces, but the show was canceled quickly.
It wasn't until 2001 that Lauren landed her biggest role to
date as Claire Fisher on HBO's mega hit series Six Feet Under.
